Warner Bros. Pictures has just dropped the first Beetlejuice Beetlejuice trailer and we are excited!
Looking at the trailer, it’s clear this is a carry-on from the 1988 film, with Michael Keaton returning to his iconic character and Winona Ryder & Catherine O’Hara making the return as Lydia and Delia Deetz alongside “Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega starring as Lydia’s daughter Astrid.
Three generations of the Deetz family make the return to Winter River after a family tragedy – made worse when Astrid discovers the model of the town in the attic, opening the portal to the Afterlife.

Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will hit theatres on September 6, 2024.
Along with the trailer, Warner Bros. also released an official synopsis to get us excited. Here’s a look at the official synopsis:
Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.
So we know there is an unexpected family tragedy, we know the chaos is returning, but besides that, we have been left in the dark.
This trailer comes after the official poster release back in February
As someone who grew up on Tim Burton films and absolutely loved his Wednesday series on Netflix, I can’t wait to make a return to this series.
